February 14th - The perfect day for an engagement shoot! I met my clients Mandi and Spencer at The Scherer Orchards Farm this past Valentine's Day for their engagement session (Scherer Orchards). Mandi had grown up on the farm and the both of them thought it was the perfect location - it was.

Since the Orchard is situated on the highest elevation in Kingsville, the cold air was blowing at us forcing us to take some breaks and warm up in the car. Mandi and Spencer knew just how to handle this familiar wind and they packed a picnic of wine and snacks and a warm Earl Grey tea for me ;) Much appreciated! It was so nice spending the day with them this way. As I was leaving they graciously offered me a huge helping of fresh farm apples, cabbage and homemade jams. I accepted it with pleasure! Thank you - they are absolutely delicious!

While I was driving home that day, looking around at the beautiful landscapes Kingsville occupies, I thought to myself how nice it must be to live here. I seriously fell in love with the open air, the colours and the warm community feel (and the fresh fruit and veggies). Mandi and Spencer, you really do live in a fantastic part of the world ;)
